21 days inside a strict Indian Ayurveda retreat

WHEN Londoner Owen Webster booked himself into an Ayurveda retreat in India with his new wife Helen, the pair were picturing morning yoga, juice by the pool, an afternoon massage and peaceful night’s sleep.

What the chartered surveyor and psychotherapist got instead were 4.30am starts, medically-induced vomiting, and the most uncomfortable massages of their lives.

Ayurveda is the 5,000-year-old Indian medicine practice, which is believed to cover all your mental, physical and spiritual needs.

He shared with The Sun his painful and hilarious diary of their 21 days in hell.
